It came in the mail today! I'll post pics after I get home this evening and try it all on! Is it bad that I want to leave work early?

    Oh - nice!

Watch those chains on the sporran though.

Acrylic is very easily abraided. Maybe find some dark tape or ribbon, quite narrow, and sew it in place behind the chain - it will be just about invisible but it will create a barrier between the fabric and metal and prevent damage.

Did someone say home brew? I'm not one for beers, but I have a great ginger beer plant - with attitude. I think it could possibly tear the ginger root apart for itself if necessary.

Pretty good man! Welcome to the addiction...you just got your first hit, but you'll be craving another soon. I went from one to six in about eight months...not counting the ones I made and one that met a sad end.

I have a SWK and agree with Pleater. Her advice is very sound. You could also get some straps to slow the pilling. When you do get pilling(and you will on any kilt, or any other clothing, eventually) one of those little "fuzz-busters" will become your best friend. Fortunately it's not a tool that you have to spend a fortune on--$5 or so at Wally World. The pack of batteries will probably cost more!

The whole kit looks pretty nice. Congrats.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

Most of the wear I hear from sporran chains I figured were from the belt/chain combos. I never thought about the hangers that way, thanks for the good advice!
