New to the board
Hello,
I'm new to the site - ran across it as I was looking for like minded people in the Virginia area.
I have ancestry from Ireland & Scotland, currently have 1 kilt - Irish, green w/ Shamrock/Harp motif.
The "Armagh" in my username is a reference to the County where my G-G-G-Great Grandfather was married. He was originally from County Monaghan, and I had a kilt with that pattern, but traded it in on the current kilt because I like the color better.
Thanks!

Thank you, Mael Coluim - I will be sure to join the group and look forward to meeting some new like-minded Virginians.
MacBean - I made my first trip to Ireland last year, but wasn't able to make the ancestral homelands of Monaghan/Armagh...maybe next time.

Welcome to the forum from rural Amelia County Virginia. My father's family came to Virginia from County Tyrone in the mid to late 1920s. But, I've been told, by the Irish American Society that we are Scots.
