RRoS in Moscow...A question about tartans and uniforms

I'm sure many of you have seen this video. I happened across it today.

How do I embed this thing, darnit???

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f8Vw...eature=related

Their pipe bags are covered in Gordon Tartan. If I'm correct their kilts and plaids are Cameron of Erracht. I know that we've previously discussed the RRoS Dress Regulations on this forum (perhaps ad nauseum). I know that RRoS regs specify that drummers and pipers wear the tartans and uniforms of their antecedent regiments. These pipers and drummers are all dressed alike to my eyes. Why? Have they now standardized the uniform of the pipes and drums? Is there one standard for pipers and drummers that have joined the band after the amalgamation?

    longhuntr74,

I would venture to say this is the P&D of 4th Bn (The HIghlanders), RRS due to the tartans worn and the various badges of those regiments being worn, ie drummers w/ Gordon c/dogs, pipers w/ QOH c/dogs, Gordon brooches & crossbelt badges, etc. Noticed also that all are wearing the new RRS cap badge though..

So is this the concensus then?

Are they all from The Highlanders

I would say so namely due to the tartans worn. If memory serves me correctly, after the '94 amalgamation w/ the Gordons the regt wore Gordon tartan kilts & McKnz trews (the QOH wore McKnz kilts & Cameron trews), whilst the P&D all wore Cameron kilts w/ Gordon bag covers.

That, and the badges/insignia being of the 3 antecedent regts would also indicate the P&D of 4SCOTS.
