I work in a small IT sales company and this morning one of the other experienced salesmen was lamenting about how our cost on an item was higher than list price. I suggested to him that he bundle it with some internet ready mouse pads. "Oh, you can bundle that?" The rest of us just about died laughing. When I looked over at him, he was hanging and shaking his head.

Snipe Hunting! That's a classic. A snipe is a bird. You send the victim to the other side of the woods with a burlap sack. Tell him you will chase the snipe through the woods and he is to catch them in the bag as they run out. He goes and when he is out of sight, you go home and wait for him to give up and come back too.

On the not so funny side ... I went to a doctor many years ago with a burning sensation on my back. The doctor looked at it and quickly ran out to the hallway and hollored to some others that they had to come see this as it may be the only time in their lives they get to see it in person! DOH! He hadn't even told me anything yet. I am thinking I have some rare deadly disease. After they got in the room and all saw it he finally
said it was a classic case of shingles. I guess the back is one of the places where it looks like shingles more than other parts of the body or something. Oh well! I lived.

We used to do this to new comers at the hardware store. We called it a wireless extension cord. We even created a new name in the computer system so that they could check inventory and search them out....

And I would be the guy sending you. "They're right next to the tungsten free lightbulbs!" Of course... Nowadays, that's quite as funny as it would have been 5 years ago...
