I'd like to read one! You know, we get somebody doing that kind of research ask 20 questions over on the renfaire forums from time to time, but I think it becomes a bigger task than they think. At least I don't think anyone has ever shown us any results!
I have seen a book disscussed, called "Renaissance Festivals: Merrying the Past and Present" that claims to be a anthropological look at the Maryland renfaire, but I have not read it.
