When looking at one of the additional listings they seem to extend the offer to other aqailable tartans not listed for the same ebay pricing. Worth following up on for sure.

The MacDonald Clanranald, Prince Charles, and Kerr tartans are all 16oz. The rest appear to be 13oz.

Oh man...that is a helluva set of deals.
Don't overlook the jackets, either.

They must be selling out quick. When this thread was first posted, they had a Blackwatch in both 16 and 13 ounce. Now it's just 13 ounce. I snoozed, I lost! (err... loosed?)

I made inquiries, too. For the fabrics shown, the kilts will be 70% machine sewn, with 30% hand-stitched finishings. Compare that to other machine-sewn kilts for pricing and there is still a discount, but it's not 40%. You may also be paying a custom fee on receipt.

You're right, it is a Tartanweb outlet. I have three kilts from them.
An 8 yard Johnstone Modern 13oz to gold stripe, woven by Strathmore Mill. I bought it from them a couple of years ago when their ebay seller was a bloke called Bobilishious. Do a search for that to find other reviews from satisfied X Markers.
An 8 yard 13oz Randonne Bretonne (Britany Walking) woven by Marton Mill and pleated to sett, that I bought from this current ebay seller (Scottish Tartan Store)
And an 8 yard 15oz Bruce Hunting Custom weave by DC Dalgliesh to sett, that I bought direct from Tartanweb's website.
The kilts are all beautifully made (machine stitched and hand finished as described above in Jack Daw's post) and I am very happy with all of them.
Johnstone Modern (Manchester 2009)
The pleating to gold line - 32 pleats.
Brittany Walking (Dumfries Jan 2010 with German based X Marker Tom (A-hay)
Brittany Walking (in France April 2010) - 32 Pleats in this kilt too.
Bruce Hunting - Apron
Bruce Hunting - 26 Pleats
Bruce Hunting - Lining
Bruce Hunting pleat depth (next to Bruce modern Strome [16oz] from Lochcarron)
If you go for one of these you'll not be sorry. Best value quality kilts I've ever come across.

Not quite the same price but they are at a considerable discount. I am in the middle of negotiating a 16oz/8yard Weathered Graham of Mentieth for approximately the same price as another company's 5 yard in the same weave. I was skeptical too but a lot of looking has given me reason to believe that the offer is genuine and that they do exceptional work. Tartanweb has been recommended to me before. Hand stitched doesn't matter too much to me, just the durability, fit, and beauty of the finished kilt.

I saw some of these ads on ebayUK and the price is £139, exactly the same price as 'Bobilisous' was advertising last year (there were lots of posts about his kilts). If this is the same source (both based in Glasgow) then the quality will be VERY GOOD! If I recall the material is 'dead stock' and you only pay for the make up of the kilt.
The Kilt is my delight !

With an apology for trumping Lancer1562 (Robert), and gratitude for the other references for the mill (Ancient Alliance in another post) and the quality of the kilts (English Bloke) of TartanWeb, I have purchased the Kerr Red Modern.
