My wife and I spent the last 4 weeks in Bali, Indonesia and I decided to take along a Matt Newsome, 4 yard box pleated kilt in Paterson (personal) tartan.
I wore it most nights out to dinner, which created quite a stir on the the streets and beach. I received many questions and compliments from both locals and tourists. None of the locals had ever seen a kilt and it was hard to explain what is was.
That is so very cool Mike! 
You'd think that in this day and age that just about everyone has some idea what a kilt is. What a great experience! ....and I agree, it is a very handsome tartan!
