What color jacket would you wear with County Kerry Tartan?

I'm considering a kilt in the County Kerry Tartan and am not sure what color jacket/waistcoat, hose and accessories to pair it with. Any thoughts or better yet, photos?

If you mean the HOE tartan of County Kerry, I'd go with lovat green or bottle green. Of course, gray or charcoal go with just about anything.

I beg to differ about green with this tartan. That is a LOT of green. A green jacket will match, but blue or brown will also match and you won't look like someone from the Irish Tourist Board...A navy Argyll will suit for day or night, but a mottled brown tweed would do very well. Consider brown hose (with lots of flecks, if you can find them) and green flashes...

brown tweed would look wonderful. but since it isn't often available I'd spring for a lovat blue or generic charcoal.

I'd wouldn't obsess about the the colour of the jacket. Just wear whatever you have in your closet... you'll look fine.
