    Stranded French Pipe Band

The snowy weather continues to create chaos, stranding a French pipe band in Haddington, East Lothian.

Hey just think if they are walking distance to a nice pub that serves food they could have all they makings for a good time! Food, drink and good music.

Well, of course, I say "BAH" to the too cold comment but YMMV.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

You mean, like the Rongovian Embassy? Do they still serve drinks called the Suffering Bastard, Dying Bastard and Dead Bastard?

I grew up on Congress Street in Trumansburg, and went to Cornell University.
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.
