If I started growing a 'stache today, it might look like something more than scruff by December...
Maybe I will just for giggles, though

I'm always in for the stash, Mrs. Legba says I look like homer simpson without one!

I shaved the beard so that stache was all that was left.

My wife loves a nice, well groomed beard on a man so I'd be fine. Unfortunately my facial hair still has some thickening out to do so I'm not doing it this year.

I've had either a beard or goatee for over a decade now, and I did shave it off once. I was warned to never do it again if I enjoyed being married. I got one ugly chin. Or maybe it's just my face in general. Hmm. Maybe my wife doesn't close her eyes to kiss me because it's romantic?
I've had mine since 1969 except for two or three times I shaved it off just to start it back right away. I had to let my daughter watch when I shaved my beard. If I hadn't, she would have done the same as yours, ohiopiper.

Ha ha. Same here. Shaved down the beard to a vandyck, only to have my boss (and friends) tell me to grow it back ASAP. I did, so there it has stayed for decades.
I have pledged monies towards charities, but the blade stays away from my face.

Ok, end of the month...
Shaving tomorrow, here's the promised picture...

I know I cheated a little with the chin folicles, but I did it so my sweet better half wouldn't kick me out in the streets... (then again, looking at this picture, maybe she should have....)
Who else grew it???

My children (now 22 and 19) have never seen me without at least a mustache, and for most of their lives a beard. I used to grow a beard about every winter and then shave it off in the summer keeping the 'stache. However this beard I've had in continual service since the summer of '03. My daughter would be heartbroken if I shaved now.

I grew it out for Novemebr, but shaved it yesterday since neither I nor the Mrs. liked it. No pictures. Sorry.

It’s been quite amusing hearing comments on Movember growths on the radio, especially from the guys who refer to it as being prickly.
Beard growth is only prickly when it is short.
Anyone who has not discovered that doesn’t know the pleasure of having a permanently hairy face.
My top lip has not been shaved since 1970, when I turned 21.
I first grew a beard the following year. Military obligations saw me shave it off in ’71, ’73 and ’77, but I was bearded and in uniform in ’75 and ’76.
No razor has touched my face since then.
In fact, when I took my beard off in ’77 I kept the tuft on my lower lip, and nobody noticed.
Eric, you have a fine moustache there (or should I say had?). It’s a pity you chose to curtail its existence.
My dad, who was also an Eric, grew a magnificent handlebar moustache in 1970, but did it solely as a stunt (he thought it would persuade my kid brother to have a haircut) and he disappointed me when he took it off again.
In the old days the ladies used to say that a kiss without a moustache was like soup without salt.
I feel sorry for those men whose wives won’t let them sport facial growth.
Mind you, I also find it most unattractive in women that they shave their legs. The resulting stubble is ugly, while the hair on the shins is not of itself unsightly. It certainly is better to the touch when it is left to its own devices.

Mike
