I wish I could have been with you.
That's pretty weather you had. We had sleet, snow, rain and sunshine, often mixed together, today.
The holly berries go nicely with the dandelion, by the way.

What a great set of photos Ern!
Looks like a fun event, inspite of the chill.
Is this lad from the recreated 84th RoF Royal Highland Emigrants?

Great pics! Thanks. I would've been in that parade but got the dates mixed up & commited myself to another Christmas parade in North East Maryland. Hopefully I'll get the dates straight next year & will see you in Old Virginia. Here's how I dressed for the 30 degree weather for our parade. It's still wool but just in a different form

It was a good day for the parade. Much better weather than last year. It's always a lot of fun and I look forward to it each year.
In addition to Mael, Geoff, and Elliottrohan68, I managed to see Orvice (who was marching with the Appins with me), rdjmchris, and I think Ozark Ridge Rider, who came up to me after the parade.

Great set of pictures, Ern. How I wish that we had something (or anything) similar here in the UK.

Super pics Ern.
Makes me envious.
Our local Christmas lights parade should have taken place yesterday but it was cancelled. The lights are not ready to be switched on yet, some people are blaming it on a shortage of tradesmen others blame the winter weather. Come off it folks, its December so the weather can be expected to be wintry, I'm sure the parade has gone ahead before on much colder days. I also read in the local press that there were "Health and Safety Issues" against allowing children to take part in the parade, I hope that proves to be an unfounded rumour.
