    New (Old) Jacket

After rediscovering the links to converting a sport coat to a kilt cut (http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...ilt-cut-62582/), I went to Goodwill and found almost the exact coat used in one of the How-To's. It wasn't long before I had a new jacket to wear with my kilts!

This was taken out in Capitol Park in Sacramento with my sister. And those boots are horrible, I agree! That's next on my list of kilt stuff to get

Nice job on the conversion. In my closet, I have a Ralph Lauren jacket from Goodwill that is awaiting its conversion. It will just have to wait until I finish my son's BW.

Great job, fine work. It really goes well with the whole ensemble. One question: are the epaulets original to the find, or are they from the excess material?

Thanks to everyone! I made the epaulettes from the excess material and buttons I had purchased. Wasn't sure if I would be able to pull them off since I had never tried anything like that but they turned out well.
