Red hose? Did someone mention red hose?
I made a pair of khaki hose for a young man once upon a time and never heard from anyone involved whether he liked them, hated them, or even received them.
The "matching the color of your legs" argument is probably the best one for why some hose manufacturers don't make khaki hose, even if they can agree what color it is.

Here you go Tobus. Bison Lewis Kilt hose. I disagree with Matt, no way are they either khaki or oatmeal.
Camera sensors and monitors may affect the color you see, but its gonna be close to what you'd see in person.
Another shot in sunlight
And half sunlight, half shade.
And a close up
This is not the new dark natural brown, which I do not own, nor the more chocolate like discontinued brown which is this one.

I don't question it because I can get a pair of khaki from WPG for $16.

As mentioned in my original post - I know khaki hose are out there for an inexpensive price - can't figure out why the finer kilt hose makers don't offer their product in khaki or tan.
If they're good enough for Ham...

Bison
Well I think it was pretty much done after your photos anyway
By the way, I took this photo a couple of months ago just North of you at that ranch outside of Zion. You could start a stalk from your house!
But, in all seriousness, and back to your question, I really like the heavy hose that Rocky is wearing in his main web page photo right now. They look like hand knits and are in a Khaki kind of color. He may have a lead for you.
Cheers,
Brooke

Know the place well. Have stayed in the cabins a few times and chowed down on bison in the restaurant many times.
Have a pair of Rocky's heavyweight hose - but they're green. Just getting cold enough to wear them...

Here they are in "khaki", and at a great price I think!

Thanks for the photos, Ron. Hmm, I agree... those do not look at all like khaki or oatmeal. But I do like the color, and it complements your weathered tartans perfectly (which is why I was interested).
As you can see in this photo the "Bison" go from a Khaki all the way to Dark Brown.
Nice! Somehow, though, I think those are going to be a little bit too chunky for my legs! But hey, there would never be a complaint about them not being warm enough!
