Art Basel Miami
As best as I can figure, Art Basel Miami is a four-day long art gallery and dealer convention and a good excuse to have lavish parties. At one that took place at the Delano hotel in Miami Beach, a piper escorted in a troupe of synchronized swimmers (see next picture in the NYTimes slideshow feature).

Synchornized swimming... shades of Shipstead & Johnson's AquaParades (or was it Aqua Follies) back in the '50s. Ah, the innocence of such bye gone days...
