    Thanks for the link. I did hear some of those discussions, with predictable difference of opinion.

    One thing I did notice: One gentleman had two small blue ribbons dangling out from under the front aprons of his kilt!

    Crack me up! I gotta try that blue ribbon thing.

    Once went out to dinner and the folk singer entertaining saw my kilt and immedicately sang that blue ribbon song - from memory!

    Back to the post - sad its still been taken out of context - or at least that's what Brian Wilton is saying in the STA newsletter.

    Since when is the Scottish Tartans Authority "the governing body that sets the world standard for Highland dress"????????

    This is exactly what I knew would happen. One man's opinion is now being touted as an official statement, and being incorrectly portrayed by the media as some sort of mandate from the High Office of Kilt-Wearing.
