Ours curdled, too, but with a bit of a stir, it was drinkable.

Now, it be neat.
I my previous drinking days I really liked a splash of Irish Mist (Mead) or Hennessey, sometimes a wee dram of both.
Of course what would start off rather classy would usually end poorly with any kind of booze available; Eggnog and schnapps, tequila, or absinthe...sometimes really gawd awful concoctions like egg nog black Russians, or eggnog grasshoppers.
The absolute worst was one night all we had was eggnog and Cinnamon schnapps and a touch of everclear curdled pink fiery goo
Merry Christmas, Happy Solstice, and the best to everyone!
Cheers ith:

Here is a recipe handed down from my in-laws. He a tee-totaler Presbyterian minister so it must be ok.
We have served it at Christmas parties we host, and, we are asked to provide the nog when we are invited to other parties. In short, it is pretty darn good.
2 quarts of bought egg-nog
3 cups cold coffee
1 cup bourbon (can go up to 2 cups)
1 cup Kahlua (can go up to 2 cups)
1/2 gallon each of coffee and vanilla bean ice cream
1 pint of whipping cream, whipped
Mix everything except whipping cream in punch bowl. Put whipped cream on top and sprinkle with nutmeg. Enjoy!!!
Low fat too! Well, anyway that's what I tell myself. Anyway, it is a crowd pleaser, and the punch bowl will be empty by the end of the night
Cheers!

And here I thought I would be singled out in this! Sailor Jerry's is absolutely amazing, especially in the nog. Haven't tried with the nutmeg, though. I'll have to try it tonight.

Although I'm not a teatotaller, I'm not keen on spiked eggnog. Regardless, the stuff is too thick and rich to drink straight, so I cut it down with some skim milk.

All right, I bought a quart of eggnog. I'm going to put it on my oatmeal.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I am shocked and in aw that no one, on a Scottish forum has mentioned Drambuie! Eggnog and Dram is a wonderful combination. Very fitting for the season in every way. I like to add water to it just to thin it out a bit.
