family illness

She is already doing a little better. Moved back to the hospital, into ICU. Thanks for all the good thoughts, being her favorite son-in-law brings certain responsibilities.

Winter time seems to take a toll on us. Here's hoping the improvement continues and she is able to express her gratitude to her favorite son in law with Christmas cookies or something.

Got a call this AM from sister-in-law, saying that mother-in-law had taken a turn for the worse. We went to the hospital to see her, she had improved in just the short time from the call til we arrived. Still has a long way to go, but we are hopeful. Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers.

Got another call this AM, it appears that mom-in-law may have a recurrence of her breast cancer. The doctors say that they have seen a spot on an x-ray that could be cancerous. She is not in any condition to get chemo or radiation treatment. Waiting to hear more.
