    I saw it briefly at the beginning when I took the dog out. The clouds around the moon parted just enough. I called to my 11 yr old so she could see it too

    It was pouring cats and dogs in my knick of the woods so I couldn't see anything.

    Here in Florida we had a gorgeous view; no clouds... moon was very reddish when being covered... in fact, as the last bit of the moon slipped into shadow, we caught a metor flashing by. Evidentally this was also seen by friends as far north as Washington D.C.

    Was very surreal to realize it hadn't been seen on that particular night since 1638. I'm quite glad to have caught it.
