My latest order from Marton Mills arrived today. I was expecting they wouldn't get it to me till next week.
Shown are;
6 yards of Evergreen Coffee Cairngorme tweed for a knife pleated kilt for myself. The selvedge looks good at first glance. I don't think I'll need to hem.
8 yards MacLean Hunting for a kilt I will make for a friend.
5 yards of Pheasant Cheviot tweed for a box pleat for my wife. This will need to be sewn weft wise, joined twice and hemmed. Bit of work, but I'm sure she'll look smashing and I should be able to get it done by New Years Eve even with all the festivities upon us.
I also received these from Robert Pell at RKilts. The Oxblood are for the Pheasant box pleat and the black I'll save for my Clanranald WoB.
Now to get cleaned up and dressed (in MacDonald of the Isles) for tonight's Yule celebrations. I'm havin' a great day so far.
