I second, or third, the suggestion of a Glenmorangie specialty bottle to be your donation. Sonnalta, LaSanta, Astar, Quinta Ruban, Portwood or Burgundywood finished varieties are great tasting, quality single malts with unique and pleasant flavors, and a generally medium price range---not the least expensive single malts but also not an everyday sight on bar shelves and liquor cabinets in most places. Rare enough to tantilize the tastebuds of a scotch drinker who might want to move up a notch or two is quality and flavor. Some of my favorites.
