Here's what Santa brought me: Highland green jacket/vest, and Robertson kilt. It arrived the afternoon before Christmas.

I got shirts(of course) and a really snazzy kilt-belt buckle. Oh, and a new dishwasher from my folks.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Sanity Claus (via my kids and a friend) brought me for Yule a bottle of Bruichladdich 16 Islay whisky (I love Islay whiskies!), a small bottle of aged port, a DVD movie ("Last of the Dog Men"), a magnificent large diamond-cut crystal inkwell with glass insert, some shortcake and $125 in Border's gift certificates (with which I intend to choose wisely). Sanity Claus knows me too well...

I'm waiting for my new balmoral to arrive from Dunadd Trading Co. It should arrive this week, due in large part to poor planning on our part. It'll be in lovat green with a plain band.

Thanks to a rebate card from my cellphone carrier, I was able to treat myself to a new kilt belt and buckle from Stillwater. It looks great. Now I can gift my old one to my son.

I received a couple of books, a couple of DVDs, a TomTom, and the best of all, a gift from myself - the Kerr tartan kilt in 16 oz from TartanWeb that arrived today.

I made out like a bandit! Got a new Early Scottish Basket hilt sword from Armor Class in the UK, I also got a couple of books, "18th Century Clothing at Colonial Williamsburg" and "The Dress of the People, every day fashion in 18th Century England", I also got a new clip fed .25 pocket pistol by Phoenix Arms, A reproduction WW2 Italian Uniform with some gear, new pair of cowboy boots, and a PS3 thing. My wife spoils me.
I got my wife a new 1860's dress, a 1780's dress, some other items to go along with those dresses such as extra hats, chemises, fox fur muff and a pair of Robert Land shoes. The dresses and extras are all correctly made from April Thomas at 18th century gowns.com. Got her a pair of earrings from Gael Song and a few new Celtic music CD's.
