The Royal Family Attends the Braemar Games 1967

I wish the picture was a wee bit clearer, and without the numbers on it, but this old colour newsreel footage is fun to watch ..... (caber tossing while wearing a sweater & turtle neck?! .... styles do change! ).

I found it interesting the number of white kilt hose visible. To be sure they were in the minority, but they were definately present. The caber tosser who slipped appeared to be wearing argyle hose. It seems that even in '67 as with today there was much variation in "the rules" of which colour hose to wear when.

I am afraid that is possibly a fair assumption!
