Back again
I'm not exactly new, but I've been away from the boards for quite a while. So, what's new in the kilt world?

But Barry - you were only gone for 10 months! It only seems like yesterday. You've hardly given us a chance to miss you.
What's happened, you ask?
Well - black is the new white - but white is out, but taupe and natural are like pendulums - in, out, in out. Red is becoming very popular, as long as it is brick (not candy apple, Dive Dive Dive, RED ALERT red). Blue is getting a mixed reception, but earth-tones are climbing up the league tables. Navy blue and bottle green are always in. Flashes are moving out (Siberia can be so cold this time of year), but hand tied garters are being fought over everywhere (some members wear nothing else)(don't think about that too much).
Mixing is in (but never Military and Civilian), but Matching is out. Tattershall is heard more often and so is school/club/college/company/military/striped ties.
What else, oh yes. Weapons are reducing - aim for quality rather than quantity. One really good piece, rather than lots of flash and plastic.
Burns never wore a kilt and neither did B-P.
And finally - Underwear. It is still in the dictionary somewhere between uncomfortable and unhealthy.
So there you have it (E&OE) - Welcome back!
Regards
Chas
