Many Thanks!
To all who have responded to my original posting:
1st: Thank you for the warm reception!
2nd: Thanks for the help! With the information provided I have attempted to post the only pic I currently have of myself in a kilt in the "Best of the Best-Your Best Kilted Picture Thread ", hope it works!
3rd: I am indeed a Marine, though I no longer have to show up @ 0dark30 for formations.
Glad to know there are so many kilt enthusiasts out there, and some even local to me! Perhaps sometime in the future I will look into gatherings in my area, for now I am confined to my once yearly festival. Also, I currently have only 1 kilt (Black Watch), but am saving up to either get the Leatherneck tartan to use as a breacan-an-feileadh, or simply buy a kilt in that tartan. I like the great kilt though, reminds me of when I was a kid, and made my own.

Willkommen TeufelHund from the Beaver state.
From your comment about formations, may we assume that you are a marine "no longer on active duty" (no such thing as an 'ex-marine' according to my late uncle)? Or have you just put in enough time that you can sleep in an extra 15 minutes?
