Rick Steves': So Why Are You Wearing The Kilt?
You briefly get to see the kilt in this wee portion from my favourite travel series presented by local boy (Seattle), Rick Steves ("Rick Steves' Europe" seen on PBS).
This segment is from his visit to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Rick's guide treats him to a French-influenced Scottish meal at the New Bell Restaurant, above the Old Bell Inn. Rick asks his guide "So why are you wearing the kilt?"
I've contacted Rick Steves and asked him to post the portion where he tours Glencoe in the company of a kilted descendant of the Glencoe Macdonalds. If he does I will post it.

Nice clip. I thought the gentleman looked great in his kilt. Actually, given where they were, I was more surprised to hear the question of why he was wearing a kilt. But, I too, loved his response to if he was Scot 1st then British 2nd.
I have the 80 episode box set & the European Christmas set (dvd, book, cd).
All I'm missing is the new 2011-2012 set (oh, and the Iran dvd).

Always liked watching his program, but haven't seen it in quite some time. Great answer to the question of why you are wearing the kilt. The gentleman wore it well.

At the end of this episode (during the credits), they show some additional footage / & bloopers, and we see this same kilted gentleman (from behind) leapfrog over a pedestrian bollard.
It's pretty funny....I only wish I was able to post it.
