    New Window Pane Tweeds...

    Hey Guys,

Inresponse to another thread, I'm showing off these new tweeds now instead of waiting for our web guy to get them up on the site (we have a lot of work being done, so this won't be 'live' for a month or two). If anyone would like one of these, please give me a call at the shop (610.948.4110) or drop me an email (rocky@usakilts.com). These are not ALL the tweeds we offer, just the window pane ones.

These tweeds ARE AVAILABLE for a Jacket and / or vest and /or kilt:

CGE121 (I'm getting a Jacket & Vest in this one myself)

    CGE120

    CGE118

    CGE116

    CGE113

    CGE122

S410 (I HAVE a Jacket and Vest in this one)

    S409

    K14

I wonder what's in my son's piggy bank.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

Are these tweeds of the Harris persuasion, or from somewhere else?

They're very handsome fabrics, regardless of their origin.

Different mills... none are Harris Tweeds. The 'issue' with Harris tweeds from a supplier standpoint is that they change their offerings yearly and once a tweed is gone, it's gone. It's tough to know what's in stock, out of stock, low on stock, etc...

The tweeds we offer are woven by other UK mills (ALL STILL UK woven... no "import" cloth) as stock supported, so we can get them now or 3 years from now.

That being said, if you had a particular Harris tweed you wanted and knew where to get it (directly from a company retailing it), and the item code, we could have our jacket supplier source the cloth from them and make it to your size.

    Rocky,
Bite the bullet and post the rest of the new tweeds as well, otherwise we'll just keep asking for more, one at a time.

I don't have them all pictured yet, but they're very similar to the ones we have on our site now (with a very few exceptions). The reason we're chaning the products (jacket / vest / kilt) is that there are a few of the ones on our site that are NO LONGER stock supported and a few that didn't sell too well. Also, there are a few NEW ones (including many of these window pane tweeds) that ARE stock supported and we DO think will sell.

I haven't looked at your current offerings, but will you be carrying tweeds in the herringbone pattern as well?
