New Kilt

I recieved my kilt last Friday. I ordered it from J Higgins, whom I have had good dealings with in the past.
It is Maclean Hunting Ancient, 16 oz, 7+ yards. Overall I am quite pleased. It seems that I lost a little weight between Thanksgiving and now as it is a tad loose, but not too much. At least it will give me room to grow.

Looks great! I love the "tusk" kilt pin. Is it the angle of the photo, or are you wearing the kilt a little low? I see no knees.

A favorite tartan of mine too. Its Sir Sean Connery's maternal line tartan. His mother was a MacLean - which is why you see him in that tartan so often.

Know you'll find yourself wearing that tartan kilt a LOT - just because when its time to choose which kilt to wear that tartan sort of leaps to the fore.

I think it is the angle. I had this one made about 1/2 an inch shorter than my previous one.

Thanks for the good comments. I really like this tartan as well. My great grandmother on my father's side was a Maclean, so I had some reasoning behind the choice. I think it makes it a little more special.
