On the plus side, you will love your new kilt. On the minus side, you will be older before it arrives.

Indeed, the dreaded 3-O! I think I'm having a one-third-life crisis, haha. My first kilt will be a great way to celebrate though, methinks - along with the 4.5 litre bottle of Chivas Regal I just got for Christmas!

Hermes, it looks like you are going the whole hog over there at STM. I hope you do go for the argyll from there too. I can assure you that the kilt and FB sporran will be everything you hope it will be. I have 2 of Matts kilts and 2 FB sporrans

Ha, well, I figure if I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it right! May I ask what are the styles/tartans of your kilts from Matt, and which FB sporrans? Just curious.

I have two 16oz 4 yard box pleated kilts in 2 different Paterson tartans and the sporrans are the Reiver (round flap) in black and the Inverarnan in dark brown. Both of the sporrans are superbly made and very comfortable to wear. The kilts are light to wear and hang magnificently.

Here is a recent pic of the Paterson (Dalgliesh Version)
