Kate Macpherson Sporrans Video
Hello all,
Below is an interesting video (also featured on Kate's website) depicting the process of how Kate Macpherson creates her sporran masterpieces. I am a proud owner of three Kate Macpherson sporrans, both of which are head-on animal sporrans: one Mink, one Scottish Pine Marten, and one Badger. Kate's head-on sporrans are very traditional, and much more unique than the other more mass-produced sporrans. Also, head-on animal sporrans are acceptable for wear for any occassion - ranging from tweedy day attire to the fullest of full-dress evening attire, making them extremely versatile.
I am quite confident that I will order many more head-on sporrans from Kate, as well as horsehair sporrans for evening wear. Kate does accept commissions and her skill and craftsmanship as a traditional sporran maker is second to none (she is a former taxidermist). I am proud to inform others of her unique talent and business, as well as having the distinct honour of calling her "cousin", for she is a Macpherson clanswoman in which I know personally. Enjoy.

I don't think I'd ever want or wear a full mask sporran, but I could see myself perhaps ordering one of the lovely roe deer pieces from her some day.
Thanks for sharing, cousin!

Thank you for posting. I truly enjoyed it.
I think I'll put on my badger, and go out for a stroll.

Loved the video, thanks for posting.
One thing though...that's a HUGE sporran to wear. As he displays wearing in at the end of the video creagdhubh posted, it all but takes up the entire apron of the Kilt. I would definitely wear a Mask but I don't think I'd wear something that big...

Those are great-looking sporrans, Kyle. I like her attitude, too.
