Bravo Everyone! I anticipate a great evening and look forward to meeting one and all. And if you are wondering what I look like; I'll be the guy in the kilt.

I have to say I can not wait for Saturday night. I've got a Burns Night on Friday, and have been informed that there simply is no time for me to recite Tam O'Shanter. I will therefore definitely be reciting Tam at our table on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Burns night in Toronto
I'll be at the Caledonian, on College St. just west of Ossington. They've got a lovely-looking evening lined up. Unfortunately, I think they've sold out of the tickets. If any other Toronto X-Markers are going to be there, I look forward to meeting you.
Cheers,
John

Catherine just talked to the pub. They're suggesting that we be there at 6:00pm rather than 6:30 because it is at 6:30 that they will start piping the Haggis in. They're only doing that once. They guy who is doing the address is a Burns impersonator which sounds very cool.
Andrew, by the sounds of it, the only piping that will be happening is when they bring the Haggis in. If you want to call and check on it, you may still be able to bring your pipes.

OK
We had to give the pub a final number today and we are at 28 so that is what we told them. If you are interested in going you'll have to make your own reservations. Perhaps request to get a table next to our group. We really look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

So besides the haggis that's being given out, is there going to be a Burns "supper"?

Burns Night in Toronto
Gentlemen - I'm at a Burns supper tonight at Toronto's University Club or I'd join you - but be warned - expect a really cold night. The weather forecast calls for negative double digits.
Wear your warmest hose and protect "the family" so to speak. But have fun.

You could still join us as this one is Saturday night. I've got my SCD Burns Night tonight.
