As the son of an Arizonan, I certainly felt great sympathy for the citizens of the Old Pueblo at this time. We used to visit Tucson on a regular basis (my grandfather used to sell beer-can airplanes to the Pima Air Museum) and I always found Tucson to be very nice place to visit.

    Well written - thank you.

I've been a Zonie since '73. I've traveled to Tucson on a regular basis ever since. My daughter and grans live in Vail. She's an RN at Carondolet who got some of the less critical victims.

I'm really proud of the emergency responders in Tucson. An incredible triage from hell, yet they sorted it out with lightning speed.

I've heard many of the President's speaches over the years. This was his finest in my opinion.

I can only hope that somehow, this sadness opens up the purse strings of the State for future mental health treatment funding that has been slashed year after year.

And I have no respect for the talking heads that were calling Ina Road "I-9" There may be an I-9 somewhere, but its not in Tucson....

Lest we drift into the realm of politics: if you've got something to say on that front, we're vigorous proponents of the 1st Amendment at TucsonSentinel.com. And a whole lot more Tucsonans will see what you've got to say if you comment there.

The latest comes from my sit-down today with Gabby's husband, Mark Kelly:
