You reckon it's fizzy?
On a serious note, I avoid aluminum cans. I've read that aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer's diesease, and I want to stay away from it, if at all possible.

OH NO! And they came out with a non-alchoholic version...WHY?! So you can have the taste of cheap Panama made "whisky" float around in your mouth and not be able to drink enough to ever forget it?

Was it in the movie Thunder Road where they were moving 'shine in the gallon tins normally used for turpentine or paint thinner? Same stuff- only made from turnips, not corn!

I feel the same way. I love Belhaven St. Andrews, but the distributer stopped providing it locally, except in cans, which is the same as cutting me off. (There's still Belhaven Stout, Wee Heavy, and Twisted Thistle in bottles, thankfully.)

I seem to remember reading that somewhere, but I can't remember where or when. And I can't find my keys. Great...I guess I shouldn't have drank all that canned Bud Light in college.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

I'm sure it'll go down in history with other back alley "classics", such as Thunderbird, Mad Dog 20/20, and Old English 800!

Yes, aluminium has been linked to Alzheimer like symptoms - there was an accident, years ago, in Devon I think, where a delivery to a local water treatment plant went terribly wrong and high concentrations of aluminium were put into the outgoing water.
A woman affected by the water died only recently after a long illness, and high concentrations of aluminium were found in her brain.
Apparently drinking Volvic mineral water will remove aluminium from the body as it contains silicates. There is something significant about aluminium silicate but as it is but two minutes to midnight my little grey cells are not up to revealing what that might be. I think they might already be tucked up and asleep leaving me on automatic pilot.
Time for bed.
I only ever put the alcohol I made at school in glass containers. It was as close to pure ethanol as I could make it, for experiments in the chemistry lab. I was never tempted to drink it - something to do with the poison lable I think.

Am I the only one wondering why on a can of "Scottish Spirits" "Whisky" with the English text "Very Rare Blend", there exists the phrase "Veni Vidi Vici" or "I came, I saw, I conquered"?

perhaps it's a gross mistranslation of "I came, I saw, I chundered."
It would make more sense. Just saying.
