We're counting on you to be our model during tartan week in NYC, Robert. If anyone can pull off a tartan dew rag, it's you.

VERY nice. The light slate blue really helps the tartan pop!

I also like the blue lines rather than black. I think a marled grey field would add interest as well, without being overpowering.

What about putting the black lines back in and putting a wide stripe of blue (about half the width of the space between the two black lines) of light blue down the middle (large gray area/thin black line/small gray area/light blue/small gray area/thin black line/large gray area). Between the black lines would be 1/4 gray-1/2 blue-1/4 gray. Hope that makes sense.

Well, I am dizzy going back to the first and then back to this one. I prefer the first, but I'm reeling from vertigo! I do agree the first is missing just a little something, but not sure what it is. Don't mind me though, what do I know! Off to get some ginger tea.

One more with black and blue and then the first 3 side by side (to REALLY give Mael Colm vertigo):

You first have to know that I have always been slightly color blind, and the nuances of color easily lost on me, but . . I like the first one!
