ooooh! I'm a member of the cognoscenti? Will I be seeing a little somethin' extra in my pay envelope for that? When I go into restaurants, will they trot out the good veal now?

And with a jaunty tilt of the head, the raising of an eyebrow, the kilted cognoscenti proclaimed in an authoratative tone, "Indeed!".

And I heard on the TV today that Colin Firth is planning to show up for the awards in a kilt. His actual quote was "It doesn't take much to get me into a kilt" if I remember correctly.

I wonder what tartan? (said with the critical gaze and raised eyebrow of one born to the cognoscenti...)

And if this is true, despite the Kerry mis-step, we may have a new celebrity to fawn over.

Looks like I picked just the right time to join this forum. I don't even know what a cognoscenti is, but I'm just glad to be a part ...or am I furious about it?
