The finest barathea is a blend of wool and silk, which gives the fabric a sort of "glow" that is lacking in pure wool barathea.

He is wearing a Sinclair tartan kilt, and Sinclair tartan hose. It is noted that his shoes have silver buckles, however, it is also noted that they are shinier than the antique buttons of his doublet, as well as, his silver watch chain. Along with that, he wears a white waistcoat, wing collar shirt, and white bow tie. This is for a black tie dance of sorts (189).

Adam Sinclair is from an old Perthshire family and, as with many of the families from that area, always wear white tie.

Dagger Magic also has several descriptions of kilt attire.

Since you all are very familiar with the series, did it continue after the wedding of Adam & Ximena? I've never found a "next book" in the series (which I really have to dig out and read again) and I'm disappointed. I want to know what nefarious shenanigans the Lynx get up to next!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

At "Darkover Con" I overheard Katherine Kurtz tell some of her fans that there are at least two more ADEPT books in the pipeline. The next one is a prequel to the original Adept, set in the 1890s; the one after that follows on from her most recent novel in the series, so yes, there is life after Adam and Ximena got married.
