    Here's a few late photos.

We had a great time and the Friends of the Scottish Tartans Society were again excellent hosts. Ryan did a superb job with the Immortal Memory Speech and the dancing was a good way to help the haggis digest.

    Thumbs up Great photos...

    Love the 'swinging six', David.

Can you tell me more about it?

    Carolina tartan

Dear Sir, perhaps enough of us Carolina kilters can get together to order a new run of the Carolina tartan. I am interested in one of box pleated kilts, I inqiured about over the phone with you sevral weeks back I might be interested in a waste coat as well. I loved the pictures that you shared. Maybe some day I will get to attend the Burns Supper in Franklin; I also, missed the Cape Fear valley Scotts Burns Supper a few days ago. Godspeed! Kevin

I've got some yardage left over from the previous heavyweight run of Carolina tartan. PM me if you're interested.

It's actually an L&M sporran that I bought off ebay about 18 months ago. I've enjoyed wearing it, although it's a little too big and bulky for anything other than evening dress. I'm not sure of it's age but the fur color has "mellowed" a bit so I guess it's probably fifteen or twenty years old. It's got the standard brass cantle and red leather back, like the one pictured here:

Thanks for posting the pics, David. Looking at them, I see that my sporran has a tendency to list to one side! I shall have to take a look at the chain attachment to see if something can be done about that (or perhaps I just need to drink more V8!).

Regarding the Carolina tartan, maybe we can start another interest thread.....
