Something else occurred to me about these photos, and I've noticed it from other photos we've taken in the past too.... certain brown colors look REALLY nice with Black Stewart, especially if they have a red or orange tint to them. Christopher's pullover is brown (his hose are charcoal), and he's worn a brown t-shirt with it before that I really liked.
In fact, let me list some of the things he's wearing in the photos that are kilt-related:
- Stillwater Standard kilt in Black Stewart tartan.
- Stillwater kilt belt and sporran hangers.
- Charcoal Lewis hose from Scottish Tartans Museum.
- Joe Gondek Rob Roy sporran (a thread about it here).
- Hand-knitted garter ties by me in a gold color (it was the only color I had, leftover from when I had knitted some Harry Potter scarves. Originally the ties were going to be used by me if I'd done Highland Games... the gold matches the gold in the Irish National tartan, but it works okay for Black Stewart.. especially until I can get some other colors to knit some more for him).

Rocks in snowballs can be a nasty affair! There's snowballs, there's ice balls and then there's rocks in snowballs that can really inflict serious damage. Snow packs very well around cold rocks. Just be sure to dismantle these weapons and separate the parts when the juggling is over.

Thank you.
It's a far cry from the snows you get in the mountains, but it was a very rare week in Texas. I can't remember snow being on the ground for more than 2-3 days; today is day 5.

Cynthia:
Yep, having some better accessories gives me more confidence to wear the kilt around. (And it makes me want a heavier kilt.)
Woodsman:
It's starting to melt, so no juggling today.
I crushed all the snowballs after juggling them because I grew up in Chicago and know what it's like to have a friend find a snowball that's been sitting around long enough to get icy and throw it at me. (And I've been on the receiving end of snowballs with rocks in them.) Not fun!

Maybe once things calm down a little more we can get you another heavier kilt, even if it's still a more affordable one. Don't forget I have Barb's book and want to make you a few kilts as well, as long as I have time anyway. Have soooo much to sew!
