Thanks for the ongoing commentary. The difference between these two looks is moving the top edge of the kilt up (or down) 3/4 of one inch. It is that clsoe.

    too high and "notslimming":

    3/4" lower:

I do think I'll order my tank 1-2" shorter overall than this one.

I have fouind that I don't like having the top edge of the kilt up on my ribcage, I want it low enough that I can take a deep breath without working at it.

I like the amount of knee showing in "notslimming" above", I am thinking my pulling the bottom of the kilt up some I can still have some knee showing after I get the hose high enough for the garters to be on a rise of their own. So with kilt and hose I need to raise the kilt some for knee to be showing when I am done.

Right now I am working with a 6.75" fell on a 23" overall kength kilt. If I had to order right now I think I would ask for 8.0-8.5" of fell on a 22" kilt, but I don't have to order today. I'll keep wearing it a few more days.

I am still playing with strap height too, my inclination is to put the straps just above my hip bones, it just feels like the right thing to do.

    Indeed.

My right leg is the longer one. As pictured in post one I have my weight evenly distributed on both feet.

EDIT: I am going to ask this thread be locked. Going forward i think I found my solution here:
