    Update on the Kilt Night

"Meet and Greet" at Freedom Kilts (1919 Fernwood Road, Victoria) from 5:00 - 6:15 pm on Saturday, March 19.

Then walk over to The Fernood Inn at 6:30 pm for dinner (individual bills). Here is a link to the pub's website: http://fernwoodinn.com/. The Inn is on the corner of Fernwood Road and Gladstone Avenue.

I have reserved enough tables for 20 people (based on a rough count). Could those who are definitely coming for supper please send a PM to me(KiltedKnome) to let me know of the numbers in your party? I need to confirm numbers with the pub, especially if we go much above 20.

For people driving to Fernwood, please know that parking is really limited in our section of town. There is a small parking lot behind The Fernwood Inn (off Fernwood Road) which is reserved for patrons of the pub. Freedom Kilts has a very small parking loss (2 cars only). Most street parking on Gladstone Avenue is marked Residential Only, and the commissionaires are ever-zealous in ticketing. There are a few non-residential street parking places on Fernwood Road. Otherwise, the best option is to park on Pembroke Street, which is just one street down from Gladstone, off of Fernwood Road.

After the meal, for those who are so inclined, there can be a pub crawl downtown to The Bard & Banker and The Irish Times. If you are not going to attend the meal at The Fernwood Inn, but want to link up with people at the other pubs later, please PM me with your contact information, so we can let you know how plans materialize.

    Have I forgotten anything........?

So buy your way out; that's how the rest of us can be in VICTORIA at 5:00 on a Saturday afternoon.

Yes, Mikey, you have to bring the maple whiskey, since you seem to have the keys to the kingdom (for acquiring it). The manor at 1335 Pembroke will provide scotch and other realm's single malts for enjoyment....plus the ubiquitous coffee (Steve's poison of choice) and other beverages. Maybe I can get Michelle (Mrs. Kiltedwolfman) to bake up some cookies....she is a good cook!

can't afford to lose almost 7 days pay ( we earn 2.24 days pay, per 12 hr shift) - (or, in 'other' terms, close to enough fabric for 7 kilts ...)
but, i trust all those who can make, will lift a pint , for those of us who can't make it? int:

I'm going to give this thread a bump to remind everyone that this Kilt Night should be very special.

I have word from the folks making our custom made Quaich that it should be ready to go into the post today or Monday. That would get it here in Victoria in plenty of time for this Kilt Night.

Come one, come all. Be there for the inauguration of The Quest of The Quaich. Be among the first to sign the logbook and share our love of the kilt with the world.

Here is a first peek at the logbook of the Quaich.
