    x marks tshirt

I have read some posts about XMTS tshirts, but I cannot locate a place to buy one. Are they still available? If so, where do I purchase one?

I see the question of X Marks shirts has surfaced again.

OK, here is your answer but it may not be the answer we would all like to hear.

Over the years quite a few suggestions for an X Marks shirt have been put forth. We all seem to be in aggrement that a shirt would be a great idea but we have never been able to come to a consensus about what type or style of shirt. "T", Polo/Rugby, golf, dress etc. We also don't seem to agree about color or anything else.

Currently there is no X Marks shirt. But perhaps it is time to bring this idea back to the front of my brain and get something moving on it.

Thank you for the reminder and keep your eyes open for a post in the X Marks Store Section of the forum.

    how about

How about this idea? We come up with a LOGO and then have it available for download. Then individuals could go to local print shop and have it put onto any kind of shirt they want. I, personally would like several different types of shirts to wear for different occasions.

I designed logos and designed artwork for shirts for 8 years. Please let me know if I could be of assistance.

Just for reference, here's the OLD one from WAY BACK WHEN...

Truth: We will never agree on ANYTHING. There will be four hundred posts from people who have ideas, and of those four hundred posts, three hundred and ninety four of them will be from people who are neither willing nor able to ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING about a shirt project.

We are incapable of agreement...quaichs, ties, saltires...nothing. The only way we will have a shirt is if Steve makes up shirts and says "here's the X Marks shirt, they cost $XX"

So Steve, if you want a shirt, make one and sell it.

I don't remember being given a choice though. One person presented a fait accompli "here it is, who wants in?"

    Dedrush,

Our current Logos and identifying things such as the design for our cap badge are under copyright.

The design for our Cap Badge which is similar to a Clan Crest Badge without the crest is copyright to Gaelic Themes as designed by Duncan of Sketraw, artist to The Lord Lyon.

I'm sorry but I do not have the right to release this to the general public.

There is another factor that we must take into consideration and which some of our newer members may not know about. In the early days of X Marks the forum owner, Hank, allowed two individual members of the forum to produce t-shirts and sell them to members. Both shirts were completly different.
In one case the member took the money and never delivered the shirts.
So it was decided that if any further shirts would be done they would be done using the authorized symbols of the forum and would be handled by a single member who had a record of honest dealings with the membership.

If the membership could decide on a design I would be more than happy to commission a run of shirts to be professionally produced in all the sizes we would need. I would hold these shirts in stock and offer them for sale to members through our store along with the X Marks Tartan fabric, our Cap Badges, and the Dandelions.
