Not directly a Scottish blade but this is being traded to a hunter for an axis hide that will be traded to a sporran maker for some of his work. It's one of my GP hunters will curly maple. Pics can never seem to catch the true effect of the curl.

On this one I added dove tails to add a little something. I rarely add file work to hunters as it is a little messing cleaning "things" out of it. I know this guys will be using it in the field quite a bit on both deers and pigs.

Next is on to a dagger that I thing will make a nice dress piece.
Thanks for putting up with the blades,
Jim

This is a real gem, Jim. The rosettes are a super touch too.

Thanks.
They are mosaic pins. Here is a close up -

They add something nice when your working with plain woods but not so much at a distance that they move the center of interest.

Again flawless work Jim I love the walrus ivory, has much more of an aged look to it. I have used the etch for years and did not like the fact that it was hit and miss and have been using a single letter stamp.
Where did you order your stamp from?

Going with a classic look for a request. This is using Artificer's design with ebony and steel pins -

And of course a touch of filework -

Here to show off the leather work of my sheath maker Sandy. Here is the the dirk. Asked him to make 2 sheaths, one for the hose and one for the boot.
Here he does a faux stingray -

And, as the leather makers here will tell you, the back and sides are just as important as the front for quality -

Here is the boot with the faux string ray -

Here is the ivory one done in his faux elephant skin -

And just a straight plain black sheath to show, like the blade, something doesn't have to embellish to look nice -
