I too LOVE my USAK PV kilts. I have 4 semi-trads and a casual. All have been worn many times and the only one with the slightest bit of wear is the casual--because I wear it like a pair of jeans (not literally) so it gets washed frequently. PV is indeed the next best thing to wool. As for riding lower, as Rocky said, it all in the measurements. Here's a pic of three of my USAK PV semi trads next to a USAK woolie (Ramsay blue 5 yarder).
Left to right: Ramsay, Firefighter's Memorial, American Heritage, Tara/Murphy.
My other PV kilts are an Ireland's National semi trad and a Douglas casual.
For a non-wool, "traditionally" styled, kilt, I highly recommend the USAK semi trad!

unfortunately i have no experience with a wool kilt since im new but i love my casual pv kilt from usakilts and i think my next acquisition will be a usakilts semi trad i just need to decide on a tartan it wont be for a few months though. So I get to see what tartans Rocky as in store for us.

Check out Kommando Kilts too. They have nice PV's and POCKETS!!!
I was SO gonna get myself a USAKilt in PV TxBlueBonnet Tartan (God Bless Texas) but I waited too long nad they stopped carrying it. Gosh forsaken greedy people and their copyrights... grumble grumble..
