£110 for walking up a street that one can normally do for free does seem a tad steep! I am amazed that they sold any passports at all
Exactly so. I bought two of the £15 tickets which were advertised as available here in Scotland and which only gave admission to the gathering on the Sunday and I decided I would wait till St. Andrews Day and then do my own march up the Royal Mile for free. As things turned out I arrived at the July gathering on my own and I surrendered my two (cardboard) tickets to the gate attendant. The lady on the gate called me back and said that only holders of laminated tickets were allowed in by that gate. She handed me back my tickets and said I would need to go round the corner and go in by a different gate. Before I did so I made sure that I gave one of my tickets to someone who had been standing in the queue waiting to buy a ticket.
