What Are The Odds of This???
I'm in Flagstaff at the doc's getting ready for my second day of chemo. I'm wearing my Arizona tartan kilt.
A guy walks by the infusion room, looks in, and says, "Arizona tartan."
Blew me away!
Turns out he's a Ferguson, active in his clan, and knows the tartan well. We chatted. Particularly about how difficult it is to acquire the tartan.
But dang....the odds against that gotta be bazillions to one.

At least a billion to one. Pretty cool.
I hope all is going well with the chemo. Heck, you're almost half done!
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

Well, I do have to admit the odds would have been a lot longer if you lived in Scotland rather than Arizona!
I didn't know you were in chemo, Ron. Best wishes for rapid and successful results.

That reminds me of the two blondes who were watching the news. The reporter said that two Brazilian soldiers got killed in Afghanistan. One of the blondes looked at the other and said "Two Brazilian! That's a lot!!"

but seriously, I love that you focus on the positive stuff Riverkilt...it is truly an inspiration. My grandafather battled cancer in various forms over his life and I NEVER saw him without a smile. No doubt your spirit draws others to you and improved the odds of this bazillionth chance encounter.

Ron, I have enjoyed your postings here and on youtube since I connected with my heritage and kilts two years ago. From one health care provider to another, I know you will survive this well, due to the fact that you are well connected with humankind and our ability to persevere ("endeavor to persevere" as the old indian friend of Jose Wales said).
Being from California, I shudder to think what the California tartan would be Do you have a pic of your Arizona tartan kilt?
