As with many actual tartans, it looks quite different in cloth than on the STA website.

I was involved in the initial production of that tartan and have made several kilts in it. If you PM me I can put you in touch with the man who designed it. At one time he had some yardage woven in it and may still have some available, though it's been a few years since I have communicated with him.
