Clan McLaren

I was watching a Dr Who episode dated September 1967. The Dr's companion is called Jamie and is said to be from the Clan McLaren. Has anyone seen the early episodes and know if it's the correct tartan? (hard to tell in black and white)

He's not wearing McLaren, but he is from Culloden so he can wear whatever he likes.
