I do not need the approval of others to wear my kilt. But it is really nice to have folks come up to you and give good comments about it. My wife and I were having dinner at a local restaurant that caters to families. Just as we were perparing to leave, the lady that was seated across the aisle from us got up and told me that she really liked the kilt and she had not seen many men wearing one in our town. I thanked her for her gracious remarks revelled in the warm feeling of getting a compliment.
New Years eve we went to Atlantic City to so some gambling. I was dressed in my Argyll with a shirt and tie. As wee were walking from the entrance to the casino, an older woman dressed to the nines came across the aisle and stopped me. With a HEAVY Scottish accent, she said that whe was happy to see a man in a kilt and how wonderful I looked in it. My wife thought the woman was going to steal me away.
Comments are always nice, especially from women. But, as I said, I wear it for me.

So true!
