eBay? I think I saw that one... sleeves were too short for me but I am also eager to see and discuss it.

Given my budget, I will certainly have to "cheat" a lot! But MoR is full of good ideas and has me thinking about a regular black Argyll with retrofitted cuffs/lapels in silk and the collar in black velvet.
I do, nonetheless, put these bespoke jacket ideas in my knowledge vault for when I am graduated and gainfully employed.

That is completely awesome.
The closest I could get to this right now would be a jacket I saw in the Maple Leaf tartan that was suitable for conversion. I'd have to wear it with my solid green kilt though because my Maple Leaf tartan kilt is too small and destined to be repurposed.
So, imagine a jacket in the Maple Leaf tartan, done up like JSFMACLJR's but worn with a three button black waistcoat, black self-tie bow tie, pleated front white shirt, and solid green kilt?

I'm not too fond of the PC either, hence why I'm investigating alternatives. Thanks for the pics of your black Regulation. Good luck with the new tartan Regulation, I'm sure it will be worth the wait
