A search reveals the "Kaber Kilt" company which appears to be out of business. Here is a link the thread from 2004: LINK

Perhaps the garment you describe was one of their products.

You tell me where to put the pictures as I am going to take them this afternoon. I will try to get a close-up on the actual pattern and also each kilt so you can see the design of the kilt and let us know if it is for a special event or daily wear. I will check here before I post the pictures. Thanks for your help.

If you want help identifying the tartans in some of your kilts it is probably best to post them all in one post (if possible) in the section for help from our experts listed as "The Tartan Place", which can most easily be reached by clicking on the forum button top left each page, then going down to the 4th section (Help From Our Professionals and Advisers) and then the third listing in that section is for general tartan related questions. We have some phenomenal experts on this board and I doubt it will take 24 hours for all of your tartans to be ID'd by the rabble.

Can't wait to see the collection.

Have you tried looking in his computer or on www.rootsweb.com to see if he posted his genealogy?
