Wonderful, Alan! Bravo! I just listened to a bit, and really enjoyed it. I'll catch up on the whole quintet when I get some quiet time.
Somehow, though, I had a hard time picturing, in my mind, you playing while I was listening, and I don't mean that in a bad way. It opens my mind to a whole new dimension of the man I know as Alan H on XMTS. Thanks for giving us the links, Alan.

This thread brings to the fore the thing that I enjoy most about this forum,
the amazing people that hang out here, and the astonishing range of interests and skills they reveal. Have always enjoyed this piece, and have a good recording of Benny Goodman playing it. I have a very high threshold of disbelief,
as I have seen much weirdness, and have regularly done the improbable, the
unlikely, the impossible, and the stupid. Even I am struggling with the concept
of combining caber and clarinet! Congratulations, sir, and well played.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'm proud of that recording. It's by no means perfect, nor is it at a level with the best professional players in the country, but I think it went well, and we all did a good job with it.
Maybe I will get around to putting the Mozart Kegelstat Trio up on YouTube as well. I played that in 1999 with my best friend Dave on viola, at my fathers memorial concert.
As for combining caber and Mozart, why not?
